CROSSING
THE WILD EDGE
Stop straddling. Answer the call to the edge of the threshold โ and cross it whole.
Two live circle immersions with Beth on Zoom ยท recording included ยท $222
Answer the Call ยท $222You can feel her. The one you're becoming.
You've done the work โ years of it. You've had the awakenings. And still, some part of your life looks almost exactly as it did before. You keep pushing harder. It keeps not quite working.
That's not failure, love. That's what standing at a threshold feels like. One foot in what's ending, one in what's becoming โ and no one ever taught you how to actually cross.
A threshold has an architecture. And it cannot be crossed with the mind. It's crossed in the body.
"I am the same person I was before, but truer. The wildness, the fire, the magic โ they're living on my skin now, and with those, anything is possible." Stef ยท Singer, Songwriter & Performer
You've been almost-crossing for a while now.
A season of declaring you're "over the past," and then quietly sliding back. Because an identity crossing can't be made by insight alone. If it isn't crossed with the body, you loop โ the body keeps going back for the parts you left behind.
This is the season you decide to stop.
You can feel it in your body before you can name it.
The self you are becoming wants to be born. And stalling that labor is its own particular pain โ not the acute, sharp kind, but a half-aliveness. A living in limbo. A living in the gray.
Something is ending, or asking to โ and it's bigger than a circumstance. It's a whole developmental stage of your life, and the identity that belonged to it. You can feel a truer, bigger version of you pressing to be lived โ and still you keep arriving at the same edge and not crossing it. You keep stopping and starting, hoping this next thing will be the break, will be the opening.
By now, the Good Girl within you has gone smarter. Stealthier. Less obvious.
But you can feel her pulling you back toward the familiar โ instead of the new reality you can almost taste, if you give yourself just a few moments to drop in.
Your wildest, wisest, truest, bubbling aliveness is not far from the surface now.
But this is also where your earliest and fiercest protectors are likely to emerge โ even to your own surprise. Except this time, they are smarter and stealthier. They've been running the show in ways you can barely see. So you defer. You wait. You cancel on yourself, and call it timing.
Or maybeโฆ
The ground has already given way beneath you โ and under the capable surface, you're carrying a terror, a grief, and a rage you've had nowhere to put.
And here's what makes you want to scream: you have done the work. Years of it. You know your patterns by name. You've named the wound, traced the pattern, said the affirmation. And still โ you are standing almost exactly where you were.
You think the problem is that you haven't found the right strategy yet, or healed the right wound, or worked hard enough.
Where you are in the process, love โ this is not the core issue.
You are missing a template โ in your body and your experience โ for what rites of passage into the next self feel and look like, and how to cross in a way that brings more of you back home to yourself, instead of parts of you fragmenting off.
You were never meant to cross these thresholds alone, unwitnessed, and figuring it out completely by yourself.
In these circle immersions, you get toโฆ
Honor exactly what is emerging for you, in your real life โ and let it be held by something larger: the myth, the season, the other women in the room. The universal becomes personal, and the personal becomes universal. You get to set down what you've been carrying, beside women setting down their own โ and feel, maybe for the first time in a long while, less alone.
Because a threshold was always meant to have accompaniment.
Straddling rarely announces itself.
It disguises itself as being reasonable. Patient. Realistic. So let me name what it actually looks like from the inside โ and see if any of this is yours.
Underneath a day that looks fine โ full, even โ there's a hum.
The thing you almost keep saying, but don't.
The conversation you almost have.
The plateau or drop in income โ the dry season that feels endless, even cruel.
The irritation at the status quo in your relationship that never seems to change.
The project or group you begin, but never finish.
The decisions you haven't made.
The needle you haven't moved.
The values you aren't yet embodying.
The secrets you haven't shared, and the half-truths draining your energy and life-force.
The resentments.
You reach for the scroll, the snack, the next task โ anything to turn the volume down on the part of you that already knows. And you tell yourself: once this settles. When things calm down. Maybe afterโฆ
You know who you are underneath. You just aren't living it yet. Not in the way you know is possible.
You'll rarely reason your way to knowing. The body tells you first.
Not from doing too much โ from holding two lives at once.
Weeks and months slide by and feel the same.
"Once this settles." "When things calm down." "Maybe ifโฆ" The future-tense escape hatch.
If postponing brings a small exhale, the delay is doing a job for you.
Always getting ready to cross, never crossing. Transformed inside, identical outside.
Drafting the email you don't send. One foot out the door for months, or years.
Overwork, overgiving, wine, scrolling. You only numb a signal that's trying to reach you.
Choosing what keeps the peace over what's true โ one small betrayal at a time.
None of this means you're failing. Straddling is what a nervous system does when it was never shown how to cross โ or held while it did. It's intelligent. It's protective. It's just not living.
And the moment you can see it โ actually name it โ you've already loosened its grip.
An identity crossing is the gate into your next self.
It's an identity, not a circumstance.
The self who got you here is not the self who lives on the other side.
It's the gate to your next stage.
In your self-expression, your artistry, your relationships, your devotional work, and your role in your circles and community.
It has to be crossed in the body.
When it isn't, we age โ and may even look like we've arrived โ while inside, the body still lives in an earlier stage. That dissonance is where the stagnation lives.
This is the first time I'm teaching the way through out loud โ from what I've studied, what I've lived crossing the map of the feminine journey, and the thread I've been re-membering from my own lineage: the old knowing of how our people crossed thresholds whole.
Persephone was drawn to the edge โ and went down by choice.
For more than twenty-seven centuries we have told her story. Not the version you were taught โ stolen and subdued โ but the one who descends on purpose to retrieve her lost parts, eats the pomegranate seeds that bind her to the depths, and returns as Queen of them.
This is the call. To stop straddling, walk to the edge, and cross.
This isn't more talking about your life.
These are some of the oldest technologies there are โ and in my work, they're the pathway into unmasking what is false in you, and unearthing what is most true.
The body doesn't change through explanation. It changes through image, ritual, and experience it can actually feel. Meeting yourself this way doesn't add years to the path โ it gives them back. It is the shortest road home to yourself.
Not two events. Two nights of one crossing.
Gate One is the call. Gate Two is the crossing โ where the seeds go into the dark, on the true hinge of the year.
The Call to the Fault Line
Friday, September 11 ยท 3โ5:30pm ET ยท Live on Zoom + recorded
The ground you've been straddling has become a fault line โ you can feel it splitting, and you can feel it calling. This is the afternoon you answer: meet the threshold you're actually on, name exactly where you stand, and receive the architecture of how to cross it whole. The mask comes off.
You leave holding:
- The threshold you're on โ named and located
- The architecture & stages of a whole crossing
- Your guardian at the gate, met with love
- What you're being asked to lay down โ your offering
- A living connection with your Wise Elder
- The rite you're being asked to begin or complete
The Seeds in the Dark
The Equinox Sacred Circle & Ritual ยท Tuesday, September 22 ยท 3โ5:30pm ET ยท By torchlight
On the true hinge of the year โ light and dark in balance โ you walk to the wild edge and go over it. Hecate, the Torchbearer, lights the way down. And like Persephone, you take the pomegranate seeds โ the ones that bind you to your becoming โ and plant what you're becoming into the dark, the only place it can grow.
Together we:
- Light the torch & stand at the crossroads of the year
- Reckon the harvest โ what grew, what you'll release
- Lay your offering down at the gate
- Eat the pomegranate seeds โ the chosen descent, down and in
- Plant the seed of who you're becoming
- Seal a letter to the woman you'll be at Samhain
A threshold in the sky itself.
Twice a year, the Earth arrives at perfect balance โ day and night equal in length โ and then tips. At the Autumn Equinox, the light begins to give way to the dark. It is the hinge of the year: the turn from the outer, upward season into the inner, downward one.
For as long as there have been people, this turning has been held as holy. The second harvest. The gathering-in. The moment the seeds go into the dark, so they can be reborn. It is Persephone's season โ the ancient Mysteries of her descent were kept in these very weeks, more than two thousand years ago.
And the sky agrees. At the Equinox, the Sun crosses into Libra โ one of the four cardinal gateways of the year, the sky's own initiation points. Libra is the scales: the sign of weighing, of balance, of deciding honestly what stays and what gets laid down. There is no more aligned moment for a woman standing at a fault line, ready to release what she's been carrying, and cross.
We aren't choosing the date. The date is choosing us.
Answer the Call ยท $222You don't leave with notes. You leave holding what's yours.
- A clear, named understanding of the exact threshold you're on โ and the developmental stage you're crossing into.
- The full architecture of a whole crossing โ its stages โ so you're never lost at a threshold again.
- Your guardian met, your offering named, and a living connection to your own Wise Elder.
- A rite begun in the body โ the first real movement of your crossing, not one more insight about it.
- What you've been carrying, set down โ grief witnessed and laid at the gate on the Equinox.
- Your pomegranate seeds planted for the dark season, and a sealed letter to the woman you'll be at Samhain.
- The felt memory, in your nervous system, of not crossing alone.
- The full recording of both gates, yours to keep.
The Equinox is where you go down.
The dark season is where the seed does its work.
You leave with your torch lit and your descent underway โ a rite that carries through the turning weeks toward Samhain, when the veil is thinnest and the dark has done its deepest making.
You do not leave this rite the same woman who entered it.
A letter to the woman you'll be at Samhain.
At the close of the Equinox circle, you'll write and seal a letter to the woman you're becoming โ the one who'll be standing on the other side of the dark season, at Samhain, when the veil is thinnest. You'll write her from the edge, before you know how it goes.
It asks nothing of you. And it never stops working. If you go further with me, it travels with you โ opened in your first private session, or waiting for you on the land this fall. If you choose neither, you keep it.
Either way, she's already listening.
"I saw Beth lead women down to a dark, hidden corner in their lives and protect and empower them while they set matters right. I saw people emerge looking like different people." Katya ยท Actor & Teacher
Is this yours to walk?
a truer, bolder body of work โ and the self brave enough to make it.
the sovereign woman you are, underneath the pleasing one you've been.
a chapter of your life that is quietly, unmistakably ending.
a loss or a betrayal that has cracked your world wide open.
the moment you stop being good โ and finally ask what you actually want.
Hi, love. I'm Beth Clayton.
Somatic coach. Archetypal guide. Initiator. Lantern-holder. For over fifteen years, I've guided women through the dark woods of their initiations and into the caves of their essential Self. I didn't meet my Wise Woman through books โ I met her in loss, in the void, in the turning of seasons, in the intimate rooms of my own shadow.
Crossing the Wild Edge is the architecture that came through my own descent and reclamation. I don't ask anyone to cross anything I'm not also willing to cross. I go first.
What women say after crossing with me.
Drop your testimonials into these three cards โ a mix of lengths reads beautifully.
"If I had to put it into words, I'd call it the ultimate homecoming. She helped me uncauterize the parts of myself I'd long kept hidden โ and boy, did I feel. The blinders finally came off."
Michelle ยท Artist & Studio Co-owner
"Working with Beth took me deeper than anything I'd ever done โ and I've been in therapy for years. This work changed my life in just a few months, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat."
Ellen ยท Artist & Coach
"My inner rule-breaker โ the part I once tried to silence โ wasn't sabotaging me at all. She was trying to set me free."

Both gates ยท The Call to the Fault Line (Fri, Sept 11 ยท 3โ5:30pm ET) & The Seeds in the Dark (the Equinox, Tues, Sept 22 ยท 3โ5:30pm ET) ยท live on Zoom ยท the recording, yours to keep.
Crossing the Wild Edge is complete in itself. And should the deeper pull find you, every dollar walks with you โ your $222 credits in full toward going further with me, if you claim your place within two days of the Equinox circle โ by September 24:
- A private Threshold Intensive โ one-to-one work with me ($777).
- The in-person rite this fall โ where the descent becomes a five-week initiation on the land.
This is the first time I'm teaching this architecture publicly. The Equinox comes whether we're ready or not; it always does.
The practical: Live on Zoom ยท Fri, Sept 11 & Tues, Sept 22 (the Equinox), 3โ5:30pm ET ยท Recording sent within 24 hours ยท Bring a candle, a journal, and one object that holds what you've been carrying.
Come live if you can โ the recording is yours either way, but the body crosses more easily in a held field than alone with a screen, and the Equinox only turns once.
Questions, answered.
What exactly do I get for $222?
Both gates โ the Call to the Fault Line on Friday, Sept 11 and The Seeds in the Dark (the Equinox Sacred Circle & Ritual) on Tuesday, Sept 22, each 3โ5:30pm ET, live on Zoom with me โ plus the recording to keep. You leave the first gate with your threshold, your guardian, your offering, and your rite named; the second gate is where you begin to cross.
I've done years of work. How is this different?
Everything you've done got you to the edge โ it was never built to carry you over it. Insight, healing, and strategy all live in the mind; a threshold is crossed in the body, through the stages of an actual rite. This isn't more understanding of your pattern. It's the crossing itself, done the way our people always did it: in circle, in ceremony, on the turning of the season, accompanied.
How does the $222 credit work?
In full โ toward a private Threshold Intensive or the in-person rite this fall โ if you claim your place within two days of the Equinox circle, by September 24. It was never a ticket; it's a deposit on a door you haven't chosen yet.
Do I have to come live?
The recording is yours no matter what. But the crossing happens in the body, and the body crosses far more easily in a held field than alone with a screen โ and the Equinox only turns once. Come live if you possibly can.
Is this a complete experience on its own?
Yes. Crossing the Wild Edge is whole in itself โ a real rite with a real beginning. If you feel called to go further afterward, your seat walks with you toward the deeper work.
Who is this for?
The woman in transition who can feel the new self being born but is still solidifying her โ who has done real work and feels called deeper. This is advanced, tender terrain, held with great care.
Is there plant medicine?
No. The work is somatic, archetypal, and ceremonial. Your body, your breath, and the field of women are the medicine.
If you feel the tremor โ that pull in your body โ this is your crossing.
First the mask comes off. Then you descend. Persephone didn't go into the underworld as the maiden the world had made her โ she went as herself, and returned its Queen.
